Colts Game

Football season is here! Thursday night we had a good time cheering for the Colts at the pre-season game against the Eagles. It was fun to walk around Lucas and check out the stadium while seeing the Colts play. I was secretly hoping to see Kendra there cheering for her man, Hank Baskett, but I wasn't that lucky!

We are looking forward to an exciting Colts football season!!

Indians Game

Last Saturday evening we went to the Indians Game downtown with Vanessa, Vanessa's parents, and Chip's friend Justin. Chip and Lugar were there as well, but, being important and all, they were sitting in a suite. We did get some good seats up front, and Mitch Daniels was even sitting in front of us! It was a beautiful night, and we had a good time. Although, I can't say I watched much of the game! :-) After dinner we headed over to Harry & Izzy's for a delicious dinner! It was seriously so good - Justin and I shared the surf and turf, and it was excellent! It was a fun evening, and we enjoyed spending some time with Vanessa, Chip, and Vanessa's parents.

Vanessa and her parents, Edmund and Corrine.

Apparently I was sitting in a lucky seat because I caught a t-shirt (note: with my left hand while holding a margarita in the other) they threw into the crowd!! I gave it to the boy sitting behind me, but it was still exciting! Go Indians!

Indiana State Fair!

Vanessa, Chip, and Vanessa's parents made the trip to Indy this weekend for a wedding reception in Clay City. We enjoyed spending the day/evening with them in Indy on Saturday. First on the agenda - the Indiana State Fair. We had to show the Green family Indiana at its finest, right? Since our nephew Hunter had won his division in the pig showing competition in Clay County, he was at the state fair with his pig to compete. Alex, our niece, also showed her pig at the fair. I don't really know how it all works, but I do know they really enjoy and do well at it!

Our niece, Demi. She doesn't show pigs yet, but she said she can't wait for next year when she will be old enough!
Hunter and his pig, Poison.

Alex and her pig.
The world's largest boar. Also known as the world's most awful-looking animal. Smelly!!

The winner of the best litter was MUCH cuter. Still stinky though.

While it was fun to see the kids with their pigs, I don't think I will be showing pigs anytime soon.

Symphony on the Prairie x 2

Last weekend we enjoyed seeing the Symphony on the Prairie featuring the music of Billy Joel. It was a perfect night to be outside, and the music was excellent. We had a great time!

This weekend we returned to Symphony on the Prairie for The Beatles tribute band. They put on a great show! While at Conner Prairie the previous weekend we noticed that everyone goes all out - table, chairs, candles, four course meals, etc. So this weekend we stepped it up a notch. We brought out table and candle along and enjoyed some fun games of Uno while rocking to The Beatles.

We love Uno!Our setup - complete with a table this time!

It was a fantastic show, and we even did a little dancing! What's next...Queen?!?!
